Beginner Musical Theatre Dance Workshop 

Sunday, September 20th from 1:00-2:30 PM Ages 6 and up. 

Students will warm up, learn choreography and discuss the style of Musical Theatre Dance. 


Intermediate/Advanced Musical Theatre Dance Workshop

Sunday, September 20th from 2:30-4:00 PM

Ages 11 and up.

Students will warm up, learn a Musical Theatre Dance Combination and go through a Dance Mock Audition at the end of the workshop. 


Danielle O’Connor is a passionate dance teacher and choreographer based in the NJ/NYC area, holding a BFA in Musical Theatre from Rider University. A lifelong dancer, Danielle began her training at a young age and has immersed herself in every aspect of the art form ever since. She has been leading her own dance classes since the age of 17, which has ignited a love for teaching that continues to drive her career. Her versatile background has allowed her to create numerous award-winning routines across all levels of competition. 

Currently, she serves as the lead teacher for the competition team at Backstage Performing Arts Center, where she guides young dancers of all levels to reach their full potential both on and off the stage. 

In addition to her teaching and choreography work, Danielle has an extensive background as a performer and has appeared in 42nd Street (Swing/Dance Captain - Shenandoah Summer MT) under Josh Walden, A Chorus Line (Bebe - Algonquin Arts Theatre) under Andrew Winans, Bridges of Madison County (Ensemble/Marian us - Shenandoah Summer MT) under Brandon Kelly, Hello, Dolly! (Minnie Fay - Capital Productions), and more. Danielle is committed to fostering creativity and confidence in every student she works with. She shares her love of dance with the next generation while bringing a fresh perspective to competition dance.

Students will break down and work through a wide variety of acro skills with modifications for all levels!


As a dance and acrobatics educator, Dr. AJ takes his deep knowledge in the healing arts and combines them with his experience in the performing arts to craft classes that help students achieve greater ease, finesse, awareness and health in their physical, mental-emotional, spiritual and artistic faculties. His technique training is anatomically precise, and walks the fine line of cultivating technical and artistic excellence while supporting the health, longevity and passion of his dancers. He has been teaching dance around the country since 2010, and is highly sought after for his energetic, fun yet challenging acrobatics workshops. Dr. AJ is fiercely supportive of children, and aims to treat every child in class like his own. He believes that children who are trained to have compassionate self-awareness, a disciplined approach towards excellence, and deeply rooted kindness and tolerance for their local and global communities will lead the way to a brighter future.  Alongside his dance education career, Dr. AJ is also a licensed acupuncturist, certified herbalist, Reiki master and is trained as a practitioner in a number of other healthcare modalities such as Visceral Manipulation, Massage Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release and more. 

He received his BFA in Dance from Monclair State University, Master's of Science in Acupuncture and post-graduate certification in Chinese Herbalism from Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine (where he has also been an adjunct faculty member teaching a variety of graduate courses since January 2023), and his Doctorate in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from Five Branches University.

Her Pom Workshop will consist of a high energy warmup, technique focused movement across the floor, and an NFL style combination.


Tracy’s love for dance began at a young age. She grew up dancing in studios and began competing at 8 years old. She trained at Broadway Dance Center in NYC during her college years and soon after became a Jets Flight Crew Cheerleader. Tracy just finished her fourth season with the NFL. She’s ready to focus on sharing her passion for dance with the next generation.

Students will be pushed outside of their comfort zones and learn Contemporary & Jazz Combos to further their technique and dance training. 


Steven Blandino has a BFA in Commercial Dance from Pace University, with a focus in Choreography. Steven is a New York based dancer & choreographer. Teaching credits include Faculty at Steps on Broadway, Pace University, Broadway Dance Center, Peridance Center, and many more. His choreography credits include Broken Bride Off Broadway, Dance Lab New York with mentorship under Ellenore Scott, New York Musical Festival, Carnival in NYC, the Steps Industry Showcase under Joe Lanteri, Dance Out Loud at Pace University, Jete in Los Angeles, the Choreography Lab at Steps, Rebel Rebel: The Many Lives of David Bowie National Tour, Burlesque to Broadway International Tour, APAP, The Young Choreographer’s Festival, Choreographer’s Canvas, Jared Grimes’ “Run the Night”, and most recently put up his own sold out shows at venues such as Symphony Space, Dixon Place, and Peridance KnJ Theater. Steven was named a Finalist for both the Capezio ACE Awards in Los Angeles & the Choreographer’s Cup in Nashville. Steven will premiere his original Off-Broadway Musical production “Falling Fast” in August 2025 at Symphony Space as well as his original dance narrative “Why Can’t I?” at Arts on Site in October. Steven has choreographed for commercial ads such as boredCOW & Noorshama Jewelry. Steven recently founded his dance company & training program treadFAST, which has already gained numerous sold out runs and training intensives in NYC.

Get ready for a Musical Theatre Worksop with Alexis Hasbrouck where students will learn "Great Gatsby Inspired" Choreography.


Alexis is currently in the Broadway company of The Great Gatsby, where you can catch her in the ensemble and playing a Sugar. She was previously on tour as an offstage swing in Hamilton Philip company and in the ensemble and covering Arabia with Moulin Rouge the Musical. Alexis grew up dancing and teaching in Middletown, NY until she went to Rider University to get her BFA in Musical Theatre.

Blake Stanley is an internationally recognized educator, coach and choreographer. With reach extending to over a dozen countries, and most of the United States, Blake has been a true-trail blazer in the virtual community, bringing dancers all over the globe access to educational leaders and experiences. He has a kinetically expressive teaching style that is grounded in classical technique, dancer injury prevention, and centered around the relationship between a dancers' physical and intellectual bodies.

Andrew Winans is an award-winning director and choreographer represented currently with two shows in the off-Broadway circuit. His work has been honored with multiple Perry, New York Theatre Festival, Theatre Maker and BroadwayWorld Awards and nominations. Andrew has worked closely under TONY Award recognized Broadway legends Bob Avian, Baayork Lee, Randy Skinner, Chet Walker and Donna McKechnie and reconstructed the works of Jerome Robbins and Michael Bennett.


He recently directed and choreographed Maddie: A New Musical off-Broadway, nominated for 7 NYTF Awards and BroadwayWorld Awards including Best Musical, Direction and Choreography.


Other New York creative and assistant credits include: Wicked (Broadway), Do Re Mi (revival), Agatha Christie’s The Hollow (Players Theatre), Mike & Mindy’s Wild Weekend Jam (Players Theatre) and Company of Man (AMT Theatre).
